a mullet is pretty quintessentially queer and can lean fem or andro depending on the cut and styling. plus you’d get to keep the length.

ideally i think id want something that can be styled either fem or masc if needed, something for boymoding when around family but femme enough to not ruin my entire look/vibe🫣 ive always been so bad at haircuts and hair and ive worked so hard to get it long and i dont wanna get rid of it all to appease some bigots🫩

I use to have my hair in a mohawk style but it was long enough it fell past my shoulders when it was down. I pulled it up when I wanted it masc, and left it down when I wanted it fem, and braided it when I wanted it Viking style. It was easy to maintain, even on my own

Like this, and then it could be pulled back into a ponytail/bun/braid, however and it looks masc, which is how i usually kept it because transmasc lol

if you can manage to keep it long enough to pull into a ponytail, is that something that would help? you can also go nuts with fun shampoo and conditioner - garnier fructis feels very fancy to me bc it smells so nice - and keep it in travel size bottles if you need to hide it from them, so you still have something to make your hair a good experience

Are you an adult? Then you should be allowed to make decisions about your own body and it's ridiculous that they feel like they can still control you. Express this to them rather than compromising. If you feel its an impossible battle though I understand:(

they could be financially dependent or just scared of causing issues with their parents

for a non shower option you can get into styling, like curling straightening (use heat protection!) and hair perfumes and gel

it’s brown, mostly straight but like 2% curly/wavy, and it goes down to like mid-back just past my shoulder blades

i am an adult but i’m not financially independent, i go to uni out of state and would lose tuition + housing + my job if i even so much as breathe wrong towards my parents so im trying to keep the boat from rocking as long as possible… its exhausting but id rather be smart now when i know shits gonna blow when i can’t hide anymore🫩
