Is it weird if I change my name to something that is shared w/ a cousin I’m not even close to?? Like there’s two names that I think would fit me well, but I have two cousins w/ those names and I literally never see or hear from them anyway 😭

loll maybe think of your own thing? I also really liked my brother’s name for myself (obviously can’t take that one) I think in part because I was so familiar with it.

lol i think you can! my birth name is a shortened version of my first cousin’s name (bcs my birth name was my grandmas name). you can do whatever you want!

one of these cousins is like 50 (w/ a unisex name), the son of an aunt that I grew up around, but he was too old for me to see him much. the other is the daughter of a cousin, currently being raised by an aunt that i see at family reunions once every couple years. i had to double check to see if her name was the same the one on my list of potential names, bc i barely know her. literally wouldn’t recognize either one in a crowd, but I know they exist
