My college does this too and it's so fucking stupid cause there was a transphobe that got placed randomly in the queer dorm and like... I understand that colleges have a limited amount of housing, but also for identity based housing, you can't randomly place people, it doesn't work (I also know people that got randomly placed in the Indigenous program house or the african american program house, and it's STRANGE)

Also, I really don’t want the QUEER space I pay for to be inundated with straight cis ppl (her and her friends) that may sound like an overreach but keep in mind the entire campus is straight cis friendly, my apartment is one space which is supposed to be a safe space for QUEER ppl.

She’s a nice person but I am really unhappy with this arrangement. She doesn’t belong in my apartment and the school could have endangered my life if it was a transphobic individual who moved in and not her. I’m incredibly bothered and angry about this, and I just needed to vent for a sec because it’s actually ridiculous. She has friends over all the time, how do I know they’re not transphobic? This is a huge safety risk, no?
