Electrolysis is the only truly permanent solution, though… laser can grow back even years later and cant get the vellus hairs and is awful for anyone without clear contrast (Black folks especially). Also why laser shouldn’t be used for surgery prep because it will cause infections later…

Laser can be used before electrolysis to reduce hair and make the overall removal process cheaper but yes, you are right. I can't afford electrolysis at the moment and this will make it alot easier for me personally

I know that gets shared around a lot but I’ve worked as an electrologist and I’ve experienced both and seen how laser can screw people over, especially for surgery. Most clients were coming in because of laser issues. It’s not worth it. Please make the investment for electrolysis and save yourself from complications.

If you don’t mind the possibility of it coming back years later and want to address large swathes of skin, sure, laser is okay. I mostly mention surgery for anyone who does need it and sees it because I see SO much of the false promises of laser being the most effective and safest shared elsewhere and it breaks my heart, especially for anyone going for a phalloplasty. Post-vaginoplasty hair removal is a thing, but post-phalloplasty requires revision. 😭
