Personally speaking, I realized that gender just felt like an unnecessary box and that I could dress and be perceived however and not get TOO dysphoric, but that I also realized that sometimes I had a preference on how I was perceived or how to dress and it kind of put things into place
ooooh mine is a little weird bc i’m genderfluid and trans masc. my body doesn’t feel quite right bc it’s too feminine, but being just a man or just a woman doesn’t feel right either. that didn’t mean that being not a man or not a woman wasn’t right. both sides didn’t feel like the whole answer. being enby also didn’t feel right; it was a piece of the puzzle, not the answer
it’s a lot of trial and error, and you’re probably not gonna figure things out for awhile, but don’t give up! it’s okay to change labels if one doesn’t feel right for you. just remind her to be patient with herself and that every change is not the end of the world, it’s just one step closer to finding herself ❤️
