Itchy, stinky, don’t lift anything, laxatives out the wazoo, wait 3-6 months before judging results (swelling is normal and can last up to a year)

you have to sleep on your back for a long time, so if you hate that try to set up your bed so it's a bit more comfortable. also probably should install a bidet

get a mascetcomy pillow!!!!! and be prepared to sleep on your back. prepare yourself mentally for drains (if this applies.) make sure you drink lots of water. take laxatives if you plan on taking your oxy/heavy pain meds (trust me.)

also you might be very itchy/chafing under your surgical binder. try not to touch it

my surgeon said she’s not going to be doing drains on me just compression

Heads up, there’s a higher risk of hematoma without drains

i might ask my surgeon if she can use drains

tbh i didnt use drains and i was fine i think it really depends on chest size and skin elasticity, if ur surgeon regularly does drainless u should be fine though. the compression will be tight as fuck though

most of my chest is muscle and rest is just loose skin and some breast tissue, i think that’s why my surgeon said that i don’t need drains cause my chest is not large enough to need them but im not 100% sure what her reasoning is
