I think a lot of my struggle with my gender identity has basically been “I think I’m a guy. But hang on, guys are icky yucky gross, that can’t be possible”

And also regardless of how aware I am of the fact that gender expression does not equate to gender identity, the many times where I want to wear more femme stuff make me feel like maybe I’m not a guy, maybe I’m just enbie

I’m not bioessentialist though? At least not intentionally. This was meant as kind of a half joke, as I said in my comment I’m aware that gender expression has no inherent correlation with gender. Despite that though, I often have this sort of feeling of “I couldn’t be a guy because man bad” even if I don’t fully believe it. It’s not logical and I don’t apply it to others

Remove the internalized misandry and ask yourself if you are comfortable in a female body and being referred to and seen as a woman or would you hit the button to be placed in a male body and seen and referred to as a man instead or would you want to do a build your own body type of deal
