Is it wrong that I genuinely hate most stereotypes about out community. Speaking as a transfem person, if I hear one more joke about Celeste or how I must be some amazingly talented hyperpop artist I’m gonna lose it

i feel like the stereotype based jokes are mainly popular in baby trans/younger online communities, so as you build your own connections you see less and less of it

honestly i would take dealing with 100 of these comments a day if it meant i didnt have to deal with the transphobic stuff i hear everyday anymore

I get it tho, it’s really annoying at times (unfortunately I have to deal with the stereotypes as a hyperpop/EDM artist 😭)

Yeah I see and I know our community is way more diverse than blahaj, uwu, :3, etc. but at the same time cis “allies” have been made aware and are now joking about stereotypes, they making jokes such as “if my son told me he wants to be a girl I’m buying her FL studio” or when I saw a cis “ally” attempt to make a video defending trans ppl by depicting her transfem friends as being quirky and autistic. I mean yeah there’s some truth to it but the cis “allies” just don’t get it ya know?

Like I know it’s harmless but I just get annoyed when cis “allies” joke about as if we’re just silly and quirky. I’m speaking from my own experience as someone who’s transfem and I know they do the same to transmascs as well but I’m not as familiar with their experiences.
