So how’re you guys coping when your friends get drafted? Should I just cry about it in therapy or… like… send letters… sing Traveling Soldier? Idk

Don’t worry, nobody’s getting drafted. Really, it’s not going to happen. Even if the war escalates beyond your worst fears, it will barely touch you. I promise

Not to be dramatic or anything but I’m curious what your worst fears are for you to say that so confidently. My worst fears are my friends getting drafted so if it escalates beyond that then I’m there, drafted alongside them, watching them die on the battlefield.

I am afraid of massive loss of life in the Middle East. The worst thing that will happen to Americans at home is an economic downturn, and that was happening anyways. There is no need for a draft, and an increased military budget will be spent on military contractors, not soldiers
