I really like eyeliner, I feel like just a bit really changes my face's whole look. I have a liquid eyeliner brush for a darker, cleaner black and an eyeliner pencil for a more smudgy black. If you don't know how to apply it, it can be helpful to look up what different eye types are, and find inspiration from people with similar eye types to your own.

hi!!! rly depends on the look youre going for. personally i think eyeliner can be too heavy - lightish mascara makes a world of difference and you truly would not expect it. also just having lip gloss to carry around with you is good. lowkey just like a little makeup goes a long way, like its way better to focus on making you look just more like yourself (concealer foundation blush etc) than doing eyeliner + nothing else

Also it really helped me to have makeup removing wipes or makeup removing solution with cotton pads to remove the excess eyeliner when I was first learning how to get it looking the way I wanted. Now I can usually get it looking pretty good (fairly balanced on each side with a shape I like) without having to remove any, but it still is useful sometimes. You definitely need makeup remover if you'll be applying anything waterproof.

Also I have a bit of concealer to put above my lip after I shave to help hide the the dark roots of the hair that remain visible. Thats the only makeup I wear most of the time. Been meaning to mess around more with fun eyeshadow colors and mascara but haven't explored that much yet. I did borrow some glittery stuff from one of my friends once and that was fun to use as blush and eyeshadow lоl

but i say this as someone whos more of like a clean girl minimalist aesthetic (and youll settle into your personal aesthetic preference over time) so if u prefer smth more flashy then eyeliner is a good bet

ye that's fair. I don't usually use a lot of eyeliner, just a little bit in the bottom of the outside corners of my eyes goes a long way for making my face look more feminine, even if the amount of makeup itself is almost imperceptible, it makes me feel a lot more comfortable with the way I look, personally. but like, that's just me and everyone has their own preferences, so I’m glad you shared your perspective as well :)

maybe I use eyeliner for the job that maybe a lightish mascara could be meant for, because it basically just gives the illusion of having darker, longer lashes, maybe affects the perception of my eye shape a little too though, but idk this is just what I’ve figured out so far that I like to do lоl
