if you know your measurements you can check size charts, which should be available for most online listings

or if you have a friend who you can take shopping with you in person it cuts the embarrassment a LOT

you can also learn your measurements very easily by measuring yourself. another thing that might help is going to a thrift store or asking a trusted friend to help you
