She yelled at me because she accused me of being trans so I can be my best friends boyfriend??? But when we bring up my uncle she’s like “nO HiS dAuGhTeR iS mAkiNg iT uPpPPP!!!” Not accepting me, fine. That I can deal with. But to turn around and welcome a pedophile with open arms after your own granddaughter trusted you enough to say something is disgusting. I’ll be going no contact in November.

That’s devastating. My friend has a similar situation going on and i hate how common it is in trans spaces for our loved ones to forgive the scum of the earth but then promise our damnation because we want to take part in our own creation I wish you luck going no contact and hope you and your cousin(?) are okay 💚

That’s the thing! My grandma is liberal/not religious at all! Her transphobia is fueled by pure hate and hate alone. Idk if it’s better or worse then using the fear of a religion. :(

My cousin is super depressed and my grandma still tried to talk to her and my “uncle” both. She says she doesn’t wanna have to pick sides, which is wild asf. Even though my cousin is depressed, she moved out of her dad’s house and she lives with me now.
