You’re two days in, be patient and kind to yourself! You’re not going to nail it right away and you may find you want to change things later on! It’s an adjustment, and vocal training is going to feel strange and odd. It shouldn’t be too hard on your throat, though— And if it’s starting to hurt, you’re doing something wrong. Adjust and ease up, find what’s comfortable, build the base there, then repeat if you feel it necessary. And don’t try to force pitch if you catch yourself doing that!
I’ve seen a lot of folks focus on pitch when they’re trying to target resonance. They are interconnected but not synonymous. A forced higher pitch can often both sound fake and put a lot of strain on the vocal tract if it’s not supported with training other aspects of the voice first; also, pitch is a secondary feature of feminine voices, not a primary. (Not saying you, OP, are doing these things, just making a general comment for anyone who may be starting with this kind of stuff soon.)
Take a break! You can focus on other things in the meantime. Don’t try to force yourself into it. It’s a practice and it will take time. Make a game out of it, or practise it outside of a dedicated time so it doesn’t feel as pressured. I work on the phones and have used different calls to play with my voice in different ways, for example. Shadow what people say and play with different voices, sing, play with it. Just don’t force it. Forcing it will be counterproductive.
