I’ve literally never met my out of pocket max before this so it was kinda a surprise. ESPECIALLY that hitting it covered my prescriptions too. I just happened to plan to call my insurance the day I also got one of my meds for free so I asked about it in addition to the other stuff. (Privacy about hrt. And also smth else I don’t remember. I triple checked with the lady on the phone and mother cannot see which providers I visit so YAY I can use my insurance and maintain privacy!)

And they just told me that yep all my meds (unless they’re not covered) are just free now. Which is WILD to me.

yep my wife is on a crazy expensive injectable med that insurance *barely* covers (they pay $160ish of a $1000+ med), but since it *is* covered we pay out the nose the first couple months of the year until we hit the OOPM and then it’s free the rest of the year

congrats on hitting ur OOPM though! see what else your plan covers and if you’re interested/need it look into getting it done this year. for people who have high OOPMs they don’t usually hit sometimes they try to plan/time procedures around it.

Yea im def already thinking about that lol. Might take advantage of this to get contacts finally. Maybe do a couple other things but so far Im mostly focused on the hrt and just kinda reveling in the situation lmao. Idk how high mine is comparatively. It’s like 2000. But either way I still have the majority of the year to take advantage of it now which is awesome.
