i can never judge someone for how they react to a crime. grief is strange, my grandmother was taken by a drunk driver and it took months for me to cry over it. i was just in shock moving like normal. ppl thought i was crazy but its how i processed it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh same and I get really bothered when people closely analyze the way someone reacts to a loss unless it really is crazy. Like my dad died and only an hour or two later I was crying from LAUGHING so hard. Grief doesn’t always make sense from an outsider’s pov

as a psych and crim double major i completely agree with this post and think more people should do research into different types of grief and coping strategies. people really think if someone doesn’t grieve the way they do that that person is strange

i watched my grandmas body roll out of her house when she died and i couldn’t take my eyes off it. i think they thought i was strange for staring.
