“No place for violence or hatred” interesting because 1. The Trump administration literally just took away Kamala’s secret service protection 2. Charlie Kirk built a platform off of hatred for minority groups 3. Yall don’t want to address Gun violence

Just to clarify my first point, take Kamala Harris out of it. They prematurely ended her secret service protection, so how can the same party saying that political figures are in danger and need protection also be ok with a former Vice president’s protection being prematurely ended. It wasn’t the fact it ended it was the fact they did it prematurely

Also the person who killed Charlie Kirk was a democrat, coming from a party who advocates for banning guns all the time, kind of ironic. Just kind of proves his point that people are the problem, not guns.

Big difference between assassinating someone and the three things you listed, which are decidedly not assassinating someone

The first one isn’t valid because she got it for the normal amount of time that every VP gets it for. The second isn’t valid because he isn’t racist, the man has almost only spoken facts, just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it racist. Three people do address it, trump just doesn’t take it seriously which is the issue.

Bro Charlie Kirk’s whole meaning of college tours is to call people racist, anti Christian, too pro-LGBTQ+, not respecting traditionalist views, and blame everyone but white people for the issues of today. You’re like on a whole different level of brainwashed if you believe this.

Charlie Kirk was a moron who lied for a living, buddy. Just because you like the thought of something doesn’t make it "facts."

He constantly says "Blacks" and uses 13/50 stat that's been debunked countless times to make bad faith arguments what are you talking about

Do you think that those protections should be extended given the nature and frequency of political violence? I imagine a responsible executive would continue those services especially now

Charlie Kirk said muslims did 9/11 and somehow said electing a muslim as mayor was just as bad. That is unequivocally racist. There is legit zero way around it. Charlie Kirk also talked about on numerous occasions the great white replacement theory which is white supremacist propaganda. He was as racist as they came.

“He isn’t racist” when he has literally called people racist slurs on stage during political debates

Gun violence is directly related to assassinations, and revoking the secret service from the former vice president makes it a lot easier for someone to assassinate her. So I’d say they’re fucking connected

No, the purpose of his college tours was to get young people involved in politics, which is great no matter what side because he encouraged more college students to vote both liberal and conservative.

Do you want the government to then confiscate all guns and be in even more power? Charlie was someone who advocated for common people to have something to protect ourselves since there’s already so many in the US. If it was illegal to bear arms, it’d just be the government and those who buy off the black market who has them. We already have background checks, the reality is people are unpredictable and he was right that there will be some innocent casualties but it’s worth being protected

The issue is homicidal tendencies going unchecked. It’s not healthy to hate someone so much you want to shoot them. This is a mental health problem, not a gun issue. Anyone can murder with any weapon of their choice. I’m sure if not guns, it could be homemade bombs

This shit is so fucking tired atp. I keep hearing the “it’s a mental health issue” bullshit over and over again yet nobody on the right is looking to make mental healthcare easier to get access to

Way to make assumptions. As a conservative who’s been to a mental hospital, the problem is really how staffing doesn’t even touch on you’re real issues. They’re doing it to get paid and will say whatever to make you keep going. It’s not to actually help you. We need a more holistic approach which happens in non-western countries and I’d suggest we prioritize actually fixing our issues instead of prescribing “meds” and not telling people the truth in therapy like friends and family would

Yeah that’s cool and all but doesn’t change the fact that even if we had the most effective mental healthcare in the world, republicans would still be vehemently against taxpayer funds going to people getting the help they need. Also having access to literally anything is better than nothing. I know our system has problems, I’ve been dating a psychologist now for almost two years so believe me I’ve heard just about everything wrong with it

Amala Ekpunobi, Amir Odom, Misha Petrov, Marcus Dib……and here’s a very recent video about the Annuncuation Catholic School shooting Amala made talking about mental health, early signs of homicidal ideation, even the wishy washy nature of banning guns. https://youtu.be/ITAxOBP5i1A?si=a-dKsE0D1VAjs0fD it’s silly to think conservatives aren’t talking about these issues. Obviously we care a lot about fixing the internal which then helps fix the external but we take issue with how democrats think

people should be treated, mainly medically via the over-flux of prescription drugs and other medical treatments for what is a mental issue. Not saying some drugs shouldn’t be used, just saying that we’re over prescribing them to people who really just need a good therapist that doesn’t lie to them to get them to keep coming
