I don’t think you can talk abt it without talking about abortion rights. Exceptionally few people take pleasure in an abortion but living in America makes pro choice people understandably want to throw shit in the faces of pro life people who have restricted their rights, just like it makes secular folks want to hate on Christianity in response to having theocracy lite thrust upon us

I take pleasure in people having a CHOICE to do what they need to do in order to live a healthy and fulfilling life. Abortions are an experience many find traumatic, it’s not something to be celebrated. But preventing access to them causes far more harm than the alternative.

I dunno, what’s weirder though is for a party that claims to be pro-life Republicans don’t give a single fuck about the kid after it’s born. Whether it be being terminated at age 3 because the MMR vaccine is woke, or terminated at ages 4+ to gun violence in their school, church, mall, McDonalds or on the street.

this is not a real thing. you’ve been brainwashed. i’d assume well over a majority of abortions are out of necessity, because of rape, because they can’t support a child, and it’s a very difficult process to go through.

Yeah you’re dense. Abortion can be a traumatic experience for many. They’re not taking pleasure in doing it. They want to be able to make that choice. Meanwhile conservatives are raping women and children and mocking women who have experienced sexual assault. Seems like they find pleasure in doing that.

Because I see comments all the time like from Pete Seeger in this comment section. Genuinely hard to tell if it’s to trigger the MAGAs or a provocative way express a desire for abortion rights or what. I’ve met plenty of people who genuinely take pleasure in having abortions.

Dude I think you just have to keep in mind that we lost roe v wade pretty recently. We’re a secular democracy who used to have common sense “choose the most moral decision for you” laws on the issue and have now backslid to capitulate to religious interests. I can assure you that 99+% percent of what you’re seeing is people’s response to that new disappointing reality

The “whatever reason” is what I said above. I don’t think any of those people would take joy in it or act like they take joy in it if they lived in a country where it was a legal and normal medical procedure. I don’t think anyone acted that way when it was legally protected here
