I don't like Trump but any woman who cares about politics is instantly 1000x less attractive

No and I also don't think that politics attracts the sharpest tools in the shed

You should raise your standards. People who “don’t care about politics” don’t need to be dating.

Why would I want to care about politics in the context of dating? That's like if I cared who my friends were based on their politics

Would you date a Nazi? Genuine question.

Do you not care about your friends’ political beliefs at all?

Not particularly, I'm friends with leftist extremists and right wing extremists of all varieties, even centrists if they're good people.

Most people want to associate with people who have similar moral views. To date someone would require the same level of moral standing. Most people are also disgusted by others who perpetuate and celebrate harm onto others, like Trump supporters or Nazis, and wouldn’t want to date someone who disgusts them.

Most people do have similar moral beliefs in America despite whatever political division tells you otherwise

Again, raise your standards. You SHOULD care who your friends are based on their politics, that’s a good thing. You need more robust moral values.

Morality is inextricable from politics, don’t pretend they are separate.

They're not completely separate, politics is a means to an end of your moral goals.

I don't care about the means if I disagree about the end, and if I agree on the end I can respectfully disagree about the means.

No…? My moral goals involve not cutting aid programs that people rely on and Trump voters disagree with those means. Politics isn’t just disagreement about obscure tax law and the proper definition of words.

Religious? But not moral or ethical reasons?

Religion is a lot more deeply tied to your morals and ethics than politics is

Not necessarily true; it’s more complex than that. Two-thirds of the world’s millionaires do identify with a faith (Christianity is the most popular one) But: As individuals become wealthier and more educated, they are less likely on average to hold traditional religious beliefs or attend religious services

According to the Pew Research Center theist tend to be wealthier. Someone being atheist doesnt correlate to them being materialistic. A lot of theist are materialistic. Mega churches

Sure but thats in spite of their faith. Atheism necessitates that you see materialism as a higher truth than any spiritual belief.

Just because I see the material world as a higher truth than a god, doesnt mean a person is materialistic. People can value culture or intellect over materialistic values. I can value family over money.
