Curious on y’all’s opinions of this take. Populist socialism and American style patriotism cancel out each other’s cons while supporting each other’s pros. Any feedback?

So you want socialism that’s nationalistic? National socialism perhaps?

I feel like this just isn’t the best place to get great feedback because it’s skewed far more left than the American people.

There is quite a difference between nationalism and patriotism. All I’m asking for is as a leftist it’s very difficult to be taken seriously by average Americans because of our perceived “anti American values”. Whenever socialist policy in the U.S. has been passed before, for example the New Deal, it was framed as patriotic. We as leftists need to stop with the anti American rhetoric it’s hurting our legitimacy among average people. That’s what I’m saying.

That’s true but I also feel like most leftists would disagree with this point anyway

Leftists aren’t anti American. They want America to not be racist which is unfortunately hurting America’s feelings.
