What matters is the material conditions of people in general. Wealth is not a zero sum game.

I think there is truth in this but I feel like the wealth inequality we see today and the power concentrated to relatively few individuals has a negative impact on most of the world. It doesn’t mean good things don’t come out of it but the downsides of these systems are never dealt or talked about unless people are against the status quo.
