If somebody is working 40 hours a week manning a cash register, and it costs at least $4800 a month to live in the area of that workplace, then $30 an hour is how much that person's time is worth (at the bare minimum). Don't like it? Talk to the billionaires who hiked up apartment prices so they can afford their 3rd yacht. If you have an alternative solution, I’m all ears (The answer is not to get a 2nd and 3rd job).

no the answer is a second job maybe not a 3rd but bring the minimum wage to 17 and having two jobs is better then living in the streets, you as a mayor can’t hike it up 30, it will never pass, and it will not just effect small businesses but piss off corporation to, having to pay more for workers who already suck at their jobs (i’ve been to NYC fast food workers are terrible)
