I fucking hate insurance companies, they kill people and I completely understand why the CEO of one got killed.

I’m okay with auto and home insurance (this is because I’ve had better experiences with them tho, my insurance didn’t try to weasel out of covering my claim when I made it after my car was hit or when my parents had to fix up the house after a storm when I was little) but health insurance is straight up e v i l.

they don't fleece you as hard because they can't; demand for home and auto insurance isn't as inelastic as health insurance. i promise you if they could adopt similarly extractive policies and not lose customers/money they would
