Blue would obviously have the advantage of having the biggest cities as cultural hubs and the best education (Harvard, Stanford, MIT, etc.). California would be a MASSIVE economic boost for blue. Red would have a lot of agricultural production As well as Alaska, which they presumably drill the shit out of for oil like never before. Red would also have a stronger military.
