Would you let someone live with you if you knew nothing about them and they were a complete stranger ?

Um I don’t what to live in a society where the government lets people run red lights either bro. That would kind of be a massive safety hazard.

Have you not had a roommate in college #1 or #2? Aside from living with your mom and stepdad

ur missing the point. do you think less of people who’ve ran a red light only once in their life, perhaps even to get a loved one to safety/the hospital. would you want them ripped from their home and put in a detention center with 40+ men in a room? is it a crime worth dehumanizing someone over

That’s what you think if you’re heartlessly cruel

No I don’t think less of them. Broadly speaking though we should enforce the law. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive.

but theyre not just being deported… some are being sent to countries they arent from alone and penniless, theyre being held in holding centers that house 40+ men to one medium sized cell. they sleep on the concrete floor, with one of those thin aluminum trauma sheets as a blanket and one toilet. a handful of innocent, legal people have been held at these too. because of the sensationalized nature of it, and the support from the public, ICE has put themselves on a pedestal, making thirst trap

tiktoks….arresting people while not in uniform (which should be illegal because thats a fucking scary precedent to set), and they feel so safe to do what they do, that theyve made a few mistakes. and innocent people have been put through traumatic situations.

plus the idea that if they can 1. be racist and careless at times and 2. not give due process to people, then eventually real innocent people are going to be sent to prison or a foreign country, and if they dont have anyone to speak for them back in the US, theyll just stay in that forgeign prison doing free labor the rest of their life, while the prison gets a stipend for each prisoner they house…. sounds like a slippery slope for slavery.
