I do think it’s worth paying attention to the issues each person was trying to bring attention to, although I (hopefully obviously) disagree with both of their methods. The NFL shooter wanted to draw attention to CTE among football players, which is a real issue just like inaccessible healthcare is
I think the difference is that with CTE, you are choosing to partake in a sport that’s very well known for leading to serious injuries (and sometimes death in the long run). However with healthcare, everyone in the US will need medical care at some point, typically not by choice. People don’t choose to have cancer, have their coverage denied, and then die or go into generational debt. Insurance companies make that decision for them.
