I’m not sure how long that’s going to last, considering some farmers depended on USAID purchases. In his last term they needed extra subsidies because of retaliatory tariffs from China

My vision is greater incentives for companies to higher entry level employees. As you probably know, companies don’t take chances on new grads like they once did. They demand 5 years of experience. Sustained high youth unemployment is a very bad situation.

My favorite is when there was a job posting that required so many years of experience in Swift (the iOS programming language) that the creator of Swift wouldn’t have gotten the job 💀

I have a theory that HR across the country has become bloated and out of touch with hiring managers. It used to be possible to be under qualified slightly but impress an HM in an interview. Now HR gate keeps you from that interview. Just one piece of the puzzle but a crucial one.
