No I just think both sides are fucking the country with your bullshit extremism. You don’t fix the economy with revolutions and political assassinations just like you don’t fix it by becoming a faciast dictatorship.

to be fair, there is a section of extremists who believe they are the far left, but you and i would first identify them as far right until we see the butt plug furry tail or their femboy practice gf

And what, that’s a fix?? Just because it has happened in the past doesn’t mean it fixed stuff. Ridiculous. Should be able to work things out before it gets to that point but apparently we are too far gone for that

i sincerely wish time machines existed so you could go back and tell the people who were starving while french aristocrats gorged themselves on excess to just “work it out” before the revolution

The French had a period of anarchy where everyone who even slightly criticized the regime got decapitated then had a dictatorship that declared war on all of Europe under Napoleon you call that working out a pre modern World War?

This is why people should learn history large revolutions lead to the death of millions Ghandi did it without millions of death, general strikes and mass protests are an option.

I sincerely wish people weren’t so messed up in the head and selfish that bs wouldn’t happen in the first place. Not to mention, you can’t compare that to what’s happening in America. We don’t need a war

Martin Luther King had this mindset and that’s actually how he pushed through Civil rights legislation. He and Ghandi were contemporaries and he actively borrowed non violent tactics from Ghandi.

Ghandi wasn’t non violent. He and his allies knowingly and willingly aggravated british militarized action to such a degree that the garrisons faced near constant threat of attack and reprisal. His entire strategy was get beat up so badly that Indians had no choice but to fight and the british no choice but flee because they could never possibly win.

MLK Jr used non violent protest as a warning. He heralded change because if America didn’t change, then black panthers would show up. Nonviolence works when you have violent options and choose not to pursue then. Let’s talk about a more successful desegregationist effort: President Ulysses Grant sending the fucking marines to kill all the KKK members they could find while ramming reparative policy up the south’s ass.

Hey so like millions of people died immediately after independence and also that was a continent of 800,000,000 ruled by a country 5,000 miles away with an active garrison of >100,000 soldiers.

That was largely caused by the British division of India into 2 states and the large scale religious conflict that followed, I don’t know if you’re insinuating Ghandi somehow caused that but no. Also I don’t really know what you’re talking about with raids, his protests largely included general strikes, blocking infrastructure like the rail lines, and hunger strikes of himself and thousands of others.

Even Ghandi said that radical peace may not lead to success. It may lead to the total annihilation of a peaceful people. But he believed it was his personal duty to remain peaceful, nonetheless.
