The FCC wanted James Talarico off the air from Stephen Colbert. Forget your political opinion and just watch the interview. This dude is just an honest and kind loving Christian. So you should ask yourself why the hell the FCC is interfering with this.

in b4 people start saying that he’s not a “real Christian” because he’s a progressive as if Jesus wasn’t also a progressive

The fcc is not interfering with it. The fcc actually criticized CBS for pulling the interview. CBS management cut it

I’ve been to his church and it is quite a bit weird lol… they play secular music, read secular poems, reference liberal scholarship etc But I think he is clearly a Christian and his relationship with Jesus shapes a lot of his beliefs and politics

Like they read maya angelou which is fine, she’s a Christian, it was just a bit like “what? I haven’t heard these things at other churches”

Churches can engage with the secular world? Idk, I don’t see how that’s a weird thing And yeah he’s clearly a Christian. Literally comes from a family of pastors

They threatened the CBS lawyers , the CBS lawyers are the one who gave the actual call to cut it
