oh it was the wall street journal! the water thing. they said “ditch the 40 oz water bottle”. the avg adult needs at least around 92 oz a day. on the low end. like???

im fully aware. but for a politician in the second highest place of power in one of the most powerful nations in the world to say, “i might make a wrong decision but if it brings on the rapture, okay”?? thats a crazy casual way to say that everyone can die based on our will and if Jesus comes back great

the Bible says “no man knows the day nor the hour” in Matthew. it also advises against condemning others to death because that responsibility belongs to him alone. id cite it but it says that like..a lot, but Romans is one of them. like thats a concerning statement.

the question was if he was okay if his work on Earth brought about a Biblical doomsday. thats a point of contemplation. to say “oh well” WHILE youre privvy to nuclear codes and second in command is crazy. to think that in general is crazy. theres ONE right answer as a self proclaimed Christian who says they practice his teachings. thats not it.

Reading it with that in mind it just seems like he’s saying “if God wants the world to end what am I gonna do about it”. If the end times are God’s ultimate design, as part of that design technically we’re all working towards them

of course. i think its against him to make ppl suffer or be ok w preventable suffering as some sort of self righteous way to be involved. if it happens it happens. when it happens, it will. theres no human intervention needed and being casual about the entire Earth dying is a dangerous perspective someone who could make that happen. i wont condemn him either as hes done literally all of us. but if his hope is Heaven. odds arent good w statements and actions like Vances

bc mind you thats his focus. he is not congregating with the needy, he is not feeding the hungry or clothing the less fortunate, he is not advocating for the blind to see or dead to hear, he is not doing ANYTHING. but shrugging his shoulders at destruction and strife. that is not of God. it just isnt.
