Also maybe conservatives skipped a history lesson but the current regime in Iran is because the CIA and MI6 (British Op) overthrew the democratically elected leader (Mossadegh) and installed a Shah that created economic and political instability (he was an autocrat) until the 1979 Islamic Revolution

The current government in Iran is the direct result of CIA and MI6 involvement. It’s a reaction to their meddling because they couldn’t handle a country nationalizing oil
