Wait this is actually a tragedy because now you have to pay extra for Sesame Street, locking it up further from underprivileged youth.

I’m glad they were able to do something that enabled them to keep the show running, but like #1 said it sucks that now Sesame Street of all things is paywalled behind a streaming subscription.

It’s going to be on both PBS kids AND Netflix!!! Netflix is helping with the funding and production 🫶

Disgusting. They want to privatize everything. Save PBS and save NPR

Sesame street holds the secrets to obtaining financial freedom, they’re trying to hide the truth from us

You still paid for sesame street before, it was just via taxes and inflation.

Very different than paying for a subscription service

Especially considering Sesame Street was originally designed for kids in the inner city (or other places) who couldn’t go to preschool because of finances so it was meant to prepare them for school similar to how a child who went to preschool might be. Like it was actually designed to look like an inner city street so kids from the inner city could relate to it.

It’s also luckily not going to be fully behind a paywall according to Netflix. They intend to put episodes on PBS same day.

Someone didn’t pay close enough attention. You didn’t see those groups they thanked before each show? The name “Arthur Vining Davis” still lives in my head and idk why 💀
