If some kind of tragedy happens or there’s a big festival or something people will come out but otherwise, but small town folks thrive on interpersonal drama just as much as interpersonal support. Just comes with the territory of living in a place where everyone knows everybody else. And don’t even get me started on how outsiders are treated lol
