No it's not okay. It's a childish, emotionally immature desire to want something frustrating to disappear rather than coping with it. And it's part of this troubling trend of permanently painting people as either heroes or villains based on a handful of actions you agree with or disagree with. Wishing harm or death on anyone is terrible. The more mature, intelligent response would be to try to understand why he is the way he is, why is message resonated with voters, and how to offer something be
No your childish, your holding on to a barebones black and white view of the world you learned in kindergarten, this is more complicated then that. He has had time to hear our complaints, to listen to us, to change and he hasn’t, if all else fails we don’t just let him cause more pain, we arnt Hippocrates for that
i’m pretty sure we are all coping with him and have been for the past 10 years since he has inserted himself into politics. this time around, while I was disappointed he got elected, I had hopes that maybe he would take this time to prove the democrats wrong (that he is a good person and wants the best for everyone), but that has been far from the truth. he has already lived past the average life expectancy and done so with hatred in his heart
the thing is we already understand those things. everyone knows why trump is trump and why people support him (white supremacy). you can’t reason with people that are essentially evil incarnate. the only solution to fascism is death. trying to have a sunshine and rainbows guidance counselor approach to it is what’s actually childish. we’re talking about peoples lives and rights, not a minor disagreement
Bro really would’ve said “guys you can’t wish death upon hitler. This isn’t 2008 where political views were nuanced and both sides actually had something to offer, the is a guy who has actively ruined the lives of hundreds of thousands, made this country less safe for tens of millions, and is actively threatening our rights, pushing the limits of the constitution, and is serving billionaires and himself. To suggest people should “cope” with their futures being destroyed is insane
I feel like that shows a developed moral reasoning. do you think Hitler is an evil bad person? are you able to understand his reasoning and empathize with how he was? I know that’s an extreme example, but if you’re unable to classify him as an evil bad person when that’s just blatantly obvious then I really don’t feel like I need to continue this conversation with you.
