I’ve been trying to convince my dad to do a kit because he’s adopted so we have zero clue who his family could be or what medical problems we have on that side of the family, but his apprehension has always been that info getting used by other people. I don’t think he’s gonna want to do it now

Yeah you’ll definitely want to look into the privacy policy and any controversy around it if you choose a company to get it from. There were concerns during 23andMe’s bankruptcy about whether they could keep data secure and whether they’d sell it

Same I’m glad I never did one of those, the only thing the government may have is my blood from doctors appointments 😔
