If Iran did or didn’t have nukes, think of it like a chess move. Israel said they did, our intel said they didn’t. Israel likely said that because they wanted an excuse for full invasion. We could have bombed imaginary spots of sand and nothing else, said we destroyed their nukes, now Israel no longer has a reason to call for invasion.

The previous deal didn’t allow for completely unlimited IAEA inspections. And US intelligence said that Iran is developing nukes. Trump bombed nuclear facilities, not residential areas. Try again

And every president since Truman has taken military action without congressional approval. Even Carter authorized a failed rescue mission of American hostages without Congressional approval.

Right. They are currently losing the PR war. Unless they had an additional conflict to wash the images out of peoples heads, for example, western troops facing off against Iranians, the last mental image people had of Israel would be what you’re describing.

US intelligence did NOT say Iran was developing nukes, just that they had enough enriched uranium to build one if they wanted to.
