Racist losers are going to exploit shit. But a stab in the chest in response to a shoving isn’t proportional self defense. It is lethal force in response to non-lethal threat and was more violence than is necessary to neutralize an attacker. That means it is unlikely to be successfully argued as self-defense during the legal proceedings.

Like the reality is that due to the circumstances of the case, Anthony is unlikely to win his case. But I anticipate that result is going to be attributed to racism when it happens.

This is why I think the reaction to this from a lot of people in the black community is more a product of backlash to a racist system rather than the circumstances of the case itself. You’re already putting it in the context of cases of unpunished violence against black people. It kind of reminds me of the OJ Simpson trial? Where someone who is guilty is still defended because of the racism of the system.
