The patriots protested against specific taxes without representation. Tariffs on paper, sugar, tea, etc… not all taxes as a whole. Democrats also don’t want to ban guns they just want to stop crack pots like Tommy Robinson from getting them bc the reds would rather someone get shot first and die before intervention instead of putting reasonable restrictions on firearms

If you're arguing that there should be more groups included under prohibited people, thats certainly an argument (although I doubt the majority of Americans agree with cannabis users losing their firearm rights so already most people want less prohibited people categories, not more)
