I will never understand people who are against nuclear power, it’s the best of energy. It’s clean, it’s cheap at scale, while not renewable, it’s sustainable, it’s safe, and takes up little land. Literally no other power source compares for general use

In a vacuum nuclear is by far the best, but in a society where companies are incentivized to cut as many corners as possible to maximize profits I just struggle to trust them. I mean look what happened at Church Rock.

Not really getting this one, are you saying imperialism is the reason people don’t support nuclear or that imperialism is a reason not to support nuclear?

I think the best comparison could come from the airline industry. Companies are incentivized to cut corners as much as possible, but a strong FAA prevents incidents, and when they do happen, they learn quickly and try to ensure they never happen again. A strong Nuclear regulatory agency can protect from incident
