Politics always work on a pendulum due to a constant demand to overcompensate to the other side from the opposition. Rn conservatives are overcompensating from the progressive ideals of the 2010s + pre Trump. I think once Trump leaves office the overcompensating will double back the other way. That being said idk how much Trump has/will do that will be reversible at all

The federal government has only ever expanded its power. Theres no reason to think the next guy will be the first to shrink it.
