As a progressive christian, i do understand the hate that religion gets, but it is frustrating to see other progressives hate all of us for these actions despite preaching against the same thing for decades. Please, we’re not all hateful

the fact that people aren’t more aware of liberation theology makes me sad

I just find it hard to reckon like my kind local church that gives out free thanksgiving kits every year with “one nation under Epstein” type of Christianity that permeates the government. Where the pope comes second to fucking JD Vance. Christianity in its origins are also rather horrifying. It’s really weird. I just try to treat people based on their actions moreso than religions. If you do good in the name of Christ, amazing. I still don’t trust the religion at large yk?

can u elaborate on how it’s origins are horrifying ? and yes evangelicals are extremely misguided and tend to be composed to people who i would not actually consider followers of jesus. they’re followers of a pastor

i don’t believe in hell, in fact, Jesus never directly references the hell that you think Christians believe in. It’s much closer to either purgatory or spiritual abolition. I don’t personally know, but it’s most likely that you’ll either be given the chance to accept God face to face, or that your spirit will cease to exist.

Then you aren’t Christian. You’re Agnostic

I believe in jesus christs salvation? i’m just not certain about the alternative. My beliefs most closely align with the Marcionists and eastern orthodox church. i’m quoting jesus to u do you even know what agnostic means?
