Ok know when a song reaches a point where suddenly everything becomes higher pitched or lower pitched? Thats a key change. Usually it’s done for a dramatic effect For example, if you listen to “A Whole New World” from Aladdin and pay attention to the instrumentation, you’ll hear that the key shifts depending on who is singing. Aladdin has the music during his parts played in a lower key while Jasmine has hers in a higher key. Thats an example of a key change
