considering some voting patterns on this app I fully believe at this point that there is at least one / maybe multiple group chats conservatives use to mass upvote specific comments or posts. By mass I mean like. 5-10 times immediately after it’s posted

I’ve seen this multiple times, only on conservative comments. If true, kinda cringe. I don’t think there’s that much evidence but I keep seeing it happen. This app tends to lean more left wing as well, which makes sudden spikes like this even stranger.

I’m not saying anything for sure but I know 100% by personal tests and observing multiple times that certain words or phrases trigger automatic downvotes from yikyak itself

for all I know there’s some weirdos in a TPUSA club together that don’t bother with a group chat and just sit around and do this for a bit, which would also be kinda cringe

I knew that bit. And also that it got into trouble without moderation due to what people were posting.

I noticed a trend whenever I’d say a certain phrase or two and tested it out by commenting it on one of my posts with no comments from like a year ago and it got multiple downvotes
