Maybe a controversial take, but I really don’t think it’s inherently a bad thing when the state takes stakes in companies that have national interest. Maybe their reasoning in this instance is bad, but it’s not inherently wrong

State owned companies end up falling into major bureaucracy and corruption traps. To an extent we already do a similar thing with oil and gas/agricultural subsidies and corporate lobbying for govt favor. Government favor always leans towards companies that they have a stake in or are being lobbied by. A well regulated and taxed independent private sector (no lobbying) with public involvement in essential services like healthcare, housing, education, etc… is much more efficient.

I’d prefer regulations that direct resources domestically with strategic tariffs to develop the industry and protect from global competition. Chunky gov contracts for the production while still letting privatize companies to compete and operate.
