Hot take: I get tired when people bring up intersex in trans discussions. We ain’t talking about that. We’re talking about chromeo-normative people transitioning. It feels like bringing up vitiligo as though it somehow smooths over the realities of race.

I generally only see intersex people brought up as a way of challenging gender essentialism/sex binary narratives specifically, which it is useful for. You’re right that there are distinct issues to the experiences of each group, but certain commonalities also exist that can be relevant in specific contexts.

BIPOC communities are still suffering from the oppression and discrimination in a way that saying “we’re all the same, look at vitiligo :^) “ doesnt do justice to. The experience of communities is more than just a swappable skin color
