i genuinely wonder who has a higher civilian casualty rate, hamas or israel. israel internal calculations (that say 10 yr olds are combatants) have theirs at over 80% i dont think hamas could afford to do that and keep fighting if they wanted to

1) you could have commented and not quoted 2) i dont know if i misunderstand you or if my post was unclear. i was talking about civilian casualty rate not just casualty rate. and israels civilian casualty rate is them killing 4 civilians to every 1 combatant, thus 80%. i was asking if hamas was even able to get near that, since it would be unbelievably inefficient for them to effectively target civilians when they have limited resources and are outgunned, outmanned, and more

i mean hamas is literally a terrorist organization and my point in posting was like... is the terrorist org even as bad to civilians as the apparent most moral army? by financial accounting of damages, israel is like tenfold worse, flattening gaza -- but on a human rate of damage, is hamas worse? is it even possible for them to be worse?

I chose to quote bc I can. Having social rules and expectations on yy is crazy work. your post didn’t specify civilian casualty or not, so of course there is room for misinterpretation. didn’t mean to get your undies in a bunch. and still that’s a silly question to ask because of course Hamas cannot possibly cause more damage than Israel just by sheer numbers and funding. maybe they’re more effective on a per soldier or per “dollar” basis or something but I highly doubt that is the case.

but i did specify civilian casualty rate, in the first 10 words. and again, i specified the rate because that would, as you said, show the proportion rather than just a blind quantity
