I hope someone sets your house and car on fire, and then you see something like this and realize how much of a pick you are. It’s not a protest, it’s a destructive riot.

Right? People are quick to defend violence when it doesn’t affect them.

These people defend the violence because they don’t own anything in life worth anything. Or alternatively they don’t have anything that they worked hard for and cherish. God forbid you save up years for a nice car, or work for your own small business, and a riot happens. You’re fucked!

You can collect insurance on a car, what happened to the people who lost their business to trumps tariff costs?

Oh, what if the car belonged to someone who couldn’t afford good car insurance, and is a single mother of four whose only mode of transportation is now destroyed completely. Is still okay?

Yeah, you see, these people don’t actually care about others, they just think that supporting criminals will make them a better person or something.

Actually it’s not even that. It’s emotionally appealing to commit to an action under the belief that you’re liberating people. If you believe what you do is right, you’ll do it, but the only way for that perspective to shift is if another perspective is introduced and is not simply pushed away. It’s easy to “make the noise” but it’s harder when in a group doing just that to take a step back and consider the possible consequences or outcomes of the actions.

Just say you’re anti-protest. Protests are meant to be disruptive rather than peaceful. I’m not going to demonize you for your views but at least be honest about them. You are against the idea of ‘protest’.
