that is an entirely different time period, though, and i would like to think that we as humans who now have a better understanding of shit than we did 80 years ago could solve problems without violence.

For a more recent example, the Rwandan genocide was stopped by the RPF’s armed resistance and eventual overthrow of the Rwandan government. The ongoing Masalit genocide by the RSF in Sudan is being challenged most meaningfully by military action from the SAF and Masalit militias

That being said, there is place for nonviolent actions. Boycott Divestment and Sanctions is a good place to start
