Nazi Germany literally looked to America for inspiration of laws to oppress minorities btw. Even more insane is that LITERAL NAZIS AND LITERAL HITLER FOUND AMERICAN LAWS AGAINST MINORITIES TO BE TOO EXTREME FOR NAZI GERMANY
Some of yall would call a sandwich fascist if it had white bread and too much mayo

that’s historically accurate yeah lol. but i agree with the other person too by the way ppl are calling sydney sweeney and american eagle straight up fascists and nazis bc of their stupid wordplay on great genes/jeans that’s been so overused to the point there’s companies with great genes in the title. so idk if they’re talking abt that, but yeah some ppl will call anything fascist even if it had white bread and too much mayo haha

Context: the early Nazi party (pre-demolition of the Weimar Republic and cessation of power) wanted to find ways to legally discriminate against the Jews. The screenshot is from the abstract of Nazi Germany’s Race Laws, the United States, and American Indians (Miller 2020)

Another great read is Hitler’s American Model by James Whitman or even The Anatomy of Fascism! If you want a quote from Hitler himself, read Mein Kampf, he literally praises America for being “the one state” that had made progress towards being what the Nazis wanted to be and what the Nuremberg Laws were intended to accomplish (a racist order)
