The vast majority of people on SNAP are people who actually need it. The less than 10% of people abusing the system shouldn’t be the reason why tens of millions of people, including children, go hungry. No one should go to bed hungry.

Not saying I have no sympathy for all if them, I said I have no sympathy for the ppl abusing. The ones that are actually trying to get off of it I feel bad for.

The point of my post is that my heart is broken for those who genuinely need it and will be going hungry because of the shutdown. It wasn’t about whether or not people abuse the system. 70% of the people who are on SNAP are children, elderly and disabled people, that’s a fact. Another fact is that children are going to bed hungry, that’s what I’m focused on
