As in they can’t just take Medicaid and sit on their ass, whether Medicaid requires proof or not. They still need income from a job to pay for their shelter, their food, their utilities, their transportation, their clothing…. It’s not a handout, it’s a safety net… Also, the money goes to doctors, not to patients. And even if the patient doesn’t have Medicaid, the doctor still provides the service either way. Which means they pass the cost onto people who DO have insurance (you and I).

So less Medicaid literally means nothing apart from higher medical bills for everybody.
